On Wednesday 6th March, 2024 stormy weather accompanied with wild winds and dark clouds, along Rumuosuwo axis of the Eneka/Rumuduru Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, left streets flooded stopping vehicular movement and commuters stranded. Shops in the area were closed early following the situation
In a chat with some residents and business owners, they regretted that the authorities failed to take advantage of the dry season to fix the yearly flooding situation in the area.
Furthermore, the stormy weather de-roofed some school buildings in the state.
At the Oil Mill Market of the Rumuokwurusi axis of the East West Road, the heavy rain brought down billboards, and a large green sign post fell on a vehicle destroying it while electricity poles and high tension wires were equally destroyed but no casualties were recorded.
