TODAY IS INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY “INVEST IN WOMEN ACCELERATE PROGRESS”

The Rivers State Ministry of Women Affairs will today join other groups to celebrate this year’s International Women’s Day with the theme “Invest in Women Accelerate Progress”.
United Nations declared March 8th, every year as the International Day for Women.
The event which holds at the Women Development and Skills Acquisition Centre, Eastern Bye-pass, Marine Base, Port Harcourt at ten O’clock this morning is expected to attract women and invited guests.
A statement by the State Commissioner for Women Affairs, Dr Roseline Apawari-Uranta says the State Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara is expected to be the special guest of honor and enjoins women in the State to turn out in their numbers.
